"For users who cannot update to the latest version of Firefox or Firefox ESR, we plan to distribute an update" -- WHEN?? i still can't get adblock.
From your UN-interactive web blog, quote: "For users who cannot update to the latest version of Firefox or Firefox ESR, we plan to distribute an update that automatically applies the fix to versions 52 through 60. This fix will also be available as a user-installable extension" = WHEN? When is it going to be available. Is it out now? Where do i get it?

Is there a reason you can't update to Firefox 66.0.5? Firefox 56 is VERY outdated and insecure
Yes, there is a reason i cannot update, firefox won't let me. When are they going to release the update for older versions?
You are on windows 7, which can run newer version of Firefox. Can you download 66.0.5 from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ and install it?
I tried to download 66, but it gave me this comment: "Microsoft(C) Register Server has stopped working." It won't let me download the new versions, and apparently im not the only one, because Mozilla said others could too. So when is the update going to come out? for those in 52-60?
That's a windows error, not a Firefox issue. If you follow the steps https://helpdeskgeek.com/how-to/microsoft-register-server-has-stopped-working/ can you install Firefox? Also make sure you have ALL windows updates installed
Here's a Microsoft post on that error, https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/microsoftc-register-server-has-stopped-working/37dc4ffe-4b5e-4a8a-b050-0d00e640bb77
i'd also suggest you run https://blogs.systweak.com/how-to-repair-windows-7-with-sfc-scannow/
After all these things, update Windows again, restart your computer, then download the latest Firefox. Something is seriously wrong with your windows, so you should fix that to avoid more issues later or with other software
Nothing is wrong with my w.7, i was able to go and download the latest Vivaldi browser, no problems with it. So all of a sudden Firefox can't do the download for me and it's my computer's problem? Why firefox but not Vivaldi?
The error you are sharing is from windows, not Firefox.
Yes, it's a microsoft message that comes only from trying to download Firefox 66. I was able to dwnld vivaldi, so the error is likely on firefox's side. I believe it's because im trying to go from 56 to 66 without going to 57 first, my next move is to do that ONCE the supposed update that is to be released, which is why i asked WHEN?
From the mozilla blog is says: ""For users who cannot update to the latest version of Firefox or Firefox ESR, we plan to distribute an update that automatically applies the fix to versions 52 through 60."
When?
Did you try the steps I suggested?
