How do I create categories to put my bookmarks in?

more options

I just got a new Mac computer. With my old one (OS 10.4), I had a very old version of Firefox. In it, I was able to put categories for my bookmarks at the top, each of which became a pull-down menu. So my bookmarks were not lumped all together in one place, they could be placed under the appropriate category. Is this feature no longer available? I don't want to have to lump everything all together. Thank you for your time!

Please forgive my previous extra comment. I was not following the steps correctly. But I finally got my head in gear and did it correctly. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
