I had bookmarks and backgrounds and everything saved on my browser. My mac book died and now when i open it everything reset. I didn't have any profiles or sync on but why did everything reset. And am i able to get what I had back.

Hi, Since three or four months, whenever I log into Outlook live, either on Mac or Windows PC, I get a security warning saying that the information will not be secure (Please see attachment.) When I log into the same account, from Edge for example, I do not get the warning popup. I really enjoy using Firefox and would love to continue but this case is worrying me a bit. Any idea to help? So, after using firefox in the background to browse websites or watch videos I checked my memory usage in firefox with about:memory -> Measure and saw that youtube was consuming a decent amount >2GB (checked the main url when clicking the youtube src, it was the video on that sole tab i was watching and nothing else playing youtube in the bg) so i closed that tab, waited a bit and re-measured but then see that the memory usage for youtube rose about 200MB... and the website for youtube is that same url for the tab that i just closed (when checking the src in the results for Measure). I've been revisiting the about:memory page, reloaded it and re-Measured and youtube is STILL THERE. Even now, 10 minutes later i still see youtube there, with none of my tabs running youtube.

If i close firefox entirely and re-open my tabs then it'll very likely fix it but this has to be a major issue no? I shouldn't have to close the entire browser program just to fix a website visit, which is youtube of all websites.

As of this moment, firefox, with 8 tabs open, is consuming 4,452.99MB (~4.5GB) where 2.5GB is youtube for that page i closed.

I don't know if sharing memory reports from the about:memory page give my cookies away or leave me open to a similar vulnerability so I won't share it unless a dev or similar asks for it but for now, I've included an image showing all the tabs i have open on firefox, 2 windows.

Whenever I try to access the Powerball website I get the following response -

I have no issue with other browsers.

I have changed operating systems from windows to linux mint. I made sure to sync my profile before uninstalling, but now the profile looks to be empty. there are no saved passwords or bookmarks. This worked when I changed between different windows devices last year, but this time it seems stuck. I will check on a windows device when able, but in the meantime, are there any other ways to troubleshoot this?

In Firefox, I have several windows open, each with many tabs. (And BTW, I love the Firefox tab-organization feature.) I would like to empty the cache and delete all cookies. Will that close the open tabs? Is there a way to delete the cookies, empty the cache and preserve all windows & tabs?

I'm changing computers. I want to upload my browser's bookmarks to a file. Then I can clear it for the next person to start from scratch. So far, I can't find a tab to make it happen. Please help. Thanks.

When I watch videos (reels) on Facebook, and sometimes on YouTube, I share a video either to messenger or my page, the whole string of videos I have already watched goes back to the beginning of the string everytime. Only Firefox does this. I have 3 other browsers that work fine, but I prefer Firefox of course.

I use FF 146.0.1 64-bit on MacOs Sonoma.

I experience this weird FF behaviour. I usually keep FF open all the time. After a while, days, maybe weeks, some UI elements start flashing when I hover the mouse above them. As an example, I use the whatsapp web UI. When this happens, I cannot click anymore on the emoji icon (on the right side of the message) to add an emoji icon to a message because that icon is flashing like crazy when I hover the mouse above it, and when I click the mouse I cannot hit it. Refreshing the page doesn't fix it. What I usually do is I restart the browser and then it gets its brains back.

I am just curious if any of you experienced this. It starts to become annoying.

My selected topic "settings" actually does not really describe my tabs problem. Even though I followed instructions for entering "about:unloads" the expected webpage did not appear. All I got was the same instructions and not a page that included the table and its unload button that was said to be above it. When I select the New Page tab and right click and then select three tabs, the right-click menu only shows the option to "close three tabs." There is not an option to unload three tabs. Yikes! And when I select one tab and click on the one option to unload one tab, the selected tab does not unload. The tab does not unload. The tab does not unload. It is still there. (???) This is very frustrating! I can only close tabs. So far I can only temporarily close them. Could the problem be that I am still using Windows 10? Please advise. Thanks for reading about my problem of not being able to unload my unwanted tabs.

Hello I had Mozilla Firefox as my default browser on my Mac laptop

I got a message this morning that Firefox could not open

I tried several times but no luck

I read through some of the online HELP sites and deleted the Firefox app and reloaded it

I also cleared the browsing history on SAFARI and CHROME although I couldn't see why that would work

Still not able to get FIREFOX to open

I have my browser startup settings set to 'open previous windows and tabs' However, every time I start up firefox, it is on the default new window screen rather than my previous tabs. This feels frustrating as I have to reopen the tabs every time.

Would it be possible to fix this?

When right-clicking on the Firefox icon in the Windows task bar one can pin entries, which then appear in the "Pinned" section of that menu. The description is taken from the title of the website at that point in time.

I would like to rename one such entry (i.e. change the description). How can I do this? The context menu only contains the options "Open" and "Unpin from this list".

When right-clicking on the Firefox icon in the Windows task bar one has the option to "pin" items by hovering over an entry in the "frequent" list and clicking on the little pin needle icon (with the hover text "Pin to this list").

How can I pin items that are not in the frequent list? I have tried for weeks to make an important page a frequent one by making sure to visit it daily but it never makes it to the list.
