Hi all, in the latest version of Firefox, the "firefox blocks reported attack sites" option is enabled by default. My issue is, box.com is listed as one of those websites. I use box.com to allow people to download photos from the events I cover without it having to affect the speed of my website...granted some might use box.com for the wrong reasons but not all. So what can I do? Not all of my website visitors would have the knowledge to turn off this setting...

Page blocking has been enabled by default for years now, but download blocking was added more recently, perhaps around early March when there were a spate of posts about this.

The list of bad sites is sourced from Google's SafeBrowsing service. Firefox downloads updated block lists at regular intervals. It's questionable to block an entire file hosting site based on one bad user, so hopefully the next iteration of the data file will remove the block; we are all at the mercy of the data on this.

To check when your date file was last updated, you can look here (type or paste into the Start menu search box and press Enter, or use the Windows Run dialog):

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

This is the cache and temporary files folder corresponding to your currently active profile folder. Double-click into your most recently updated profile folder and then into safebrowsing. Normally you will find the files were updated within the past day.
