I am trying to instal the tilt addon for 3d dom rendering of websites, but it does not work. I downloaded the file tilt.xpi and opened it in Firefox 11, it said it would be installed once firefox was shut down. I shutdown firefox and started it back up. Then I used the ctrl+shift+L command, but I wasn't able to see the 3d rendering of any website. Can someone help or suggest another option? The operating system is XP, I know it's old.

3D (tilt) View requires WebGL to be working, so you can check the Graphics at the bottom of the Help > Troubleshooting Information if WebGL is enabled.

WebGL was not enabled and as it turns out my driver for NVIDIA Go 7900 GS was not up to date. I tried to install the driver version 257.21 but it said that the drivers were not compatible with specific hardware. So now I am wondering if there is another 3D renderer similar to tilt 3d that is compatible with my current driver? Or any other suggestions are welcomed.
This link was helpful to my understanding: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Blocklisting/Blocked_Graphics_Drivers

Did you try to force WebGL by setting webgl.force-enabled => true to see if that works in with 3D tilt?

I forced WebGL by setting webgl.force-enabled=true, shut down firefox, then started it back up, checked Help=>Troubleshooting Information=>Graphics=>WebGL Renderer= Google Inc. -- ANGLE (NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GS ) -- OpenGL ES 2.0 (ANGLE 1.0.0.1242) instead of WebGL Renderer = 0. Blocked for your graphics driver version. Try updating your graphics driver to version 257.21 or newer. Is this correct? Anyhow, I fired up ebay to test Tilt3d using CTRL + SHIFT + L, nothing happens.
I am looking into bug 604771. Are these user or system environment variables that I am setting. I won't be using the command prompt for this. It appears that I have two options, one is to set MOZ_GFX_SPOOF_VENDOR_ID=0 firefox
or to set MOZ_GFX_SPOOF_WINDOWS_VERSION
hex value, see gfxWindowsPlatform.h example: 60001 for Win 7
What is the value for XP?
MOZ_GFX_SPOOF_VENDOR_ID hex value, for example 8086 for Intel
What is the value for a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GS?
MOZ_GFX_SPOOF_DEVICE_ID hex value, for example 2a42
What is the value for a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GS?
MOZ_GFX_SPOOF_DRIVER_VERSION string, for example 8.15.10.2202
Do I list the current driver version or the one firefox suggests (257.21)?
I didn't use what was suggested above because I didn't understand it. I decided to use the add-on DOM Inspector. It will work for now.
