Cannot install the Checkit Add-on through an internal firewall. Am I the only person with this issue or is anyone else experiencing it?

With only 1,983 users for that extension, I doubt if you will get an answer here from other users of that add-on.
Try this to see if you can download it and install it "locally":
Right-click the install button - + Add to Firefox - and select Save Link As... - then use File > Open File... to install it.
Or save the XPI and drag it into the Firefox browser window.
I got an error message saying "This add-on could not be installed because it is corrupt"
