sometimes when we allow FF to autofill passwords, we tend to forget them.

if this is the case, you can review your pw library to see what it may have been.

go to the following url to see your stored pw's:

It may be better just to create a new FF account. The only purpose of it is to sync up to it your current data in your FF. After the syncing, you would need to be logged out.

So imo, if your current browser has all the bookmarks and pw's in it, then make a copy of them via cloning the profile. The clone profile will be a back up, in case the active profile is lost or corrupted.

Subsequently, you can also try to create a new FF account via a different email address.

If you have never saved this login the Firefox Password Manager (Lockwise) and you don't remember this password and the website doesn't allow to reset the password then you will have to create a new account on that website.

Note that you can add new logins manually in Lockwise.

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.
