Blue screen whilst Thunderbird open. Inbox & one other folder messages disappeared.

Hello

My PC blue screened whilst Thunderbird was open and I think it was in the process of compacting folders. On resetting and opening Thunderbird all my messages had disappeared from inbox and one other folder (all other folders appear to be ok).

I've tried to repair folders and deleting msf files but message still don't appear. Re-downloading from email server is no longer possible because Thunderbird show errors in the past and advised I had to turn off 'Leave messages on server' option in order to download emails.

The 'Inbox' file is 27MB so appears the emails are still present, just not appearing in Thunderbird. Is there anyway I can gain access to these emails again please, either via Thunderbird or by any other means, as there are some very important emails in there that I need access too.

Hello there I do not think it is useful to compress something at the moment also the function where you knew the emails from the server is also better not to do it?

You use imap? Or pop for your emails?

Where do you still see emails as a large of the indicated MBs?

Will you try to look it up with the information sheet from Thunderbird?

can I ask what antivirus program you use?

Sometimes it is possible that an antivirus program can cause a similar problem.




I will try to find out what the blue screen means and whether content suddenly appears.


I think a temporary time out has taken place, it is best to clean certain topics such as Firefox's cache.
