Up until November 18th, everything worked fine with my Mozilla Firefox and sounds worked great in Youtube. I am currently using version 63.0.3 (64-bit) and the only thing that changed was Firefox was updated on 11/18/2018 (of which to note I have no idea where I found that information, I just saw it somewhere in my system). Otherwise nothing else (that I am aware of) has changed with my system. Other websites still have sound, just not Youtube. Veoh videos still have sound (that still uses flash for their videos). I have attempted to restart my computer, restart my browser, started in safe mode and still nothing. My sounds are turned up, no mute on with fire fox or the system. The only thing that worked to restore sound to fire fox was to go into my services.msc program and stop the Windows Audio Service and restart then I had sound in youtube in firefox. Although that worked, it is really stupid that I have to do that just to get sound in youtube when chrome and IE work fine and up until 2 days ago Firefox worked. Anyway to revert back to the previous build until this issue is resolved or at least submit a bug report to see if this can be corrected for the next upgrade?

Win7, Firefox...vers..whatever the latest is for 11/19/18 CONSTANT CRASHING, CRASHES WHILE I'M TRYING TO GO TO HELP>DISABLE ADDONS...
Several months ago, I upgraded and it started crashing. I reverted back to an older version, ran great. Was resistant to any efforts to upgrade. Now, it will not let me revert back. I have had about 30 crashes in a period of about 5 hours.
Please offer me some ideas about what is going on?? what to do??? what do I look for to help you help me??

After years of not using Firefox, I decided to give it another try and installed it on my 13 inch Mid 2010 MacBook Pro. It's the latest Firefox release (63.0.3) and I notived that it is still a lot slower compared to other browsers. Pages loading slower, videos are choppy, and it also seems to use more power and memory.
So I decided to do some tests not to rely only on my observations, and it seems that I'm right. I'm using the latest Mac Os High Sierra 10.13.6 with SSd drive and 8GB of RAM.
I googled some browser tests, and I found this website: https://browserbench.org and ran all 4 tests available, and compared it to the latest version of Safari (12.0.1), the latest version of Chrome (70.0.3538.102) and here is what I found:
Firefox: Motion Mark: 49.13 Speedmeter: 21.5 Ares-6: 207.57ms JetStream: 62.505
Chrome: Motion Mark: 54.58 Speedmeter: 27.4 Ares-6: 72.39ms JetStream: 62.919
Safari: Motion Mark: 98.79 Speedmeter: 34.5 Ares-6: 58.29ms JetStream: 85.729
As you can see, the Firefox performance is rather poor, and it's been like that on my MacBook since I remember. I thought this new Quantum one will be much better, but I'm very disappointed.
Why is this happening? Why is Firefox so slow? I'd appreciate your thoughts on this.

I have a website that contains embedded slideshows from Flickr: http://2016.crossroads-festival.org/de/fotosaudio/fotos2016.html
My issue is that in Chrome the slideshows are displayed after I explicitly allow Flash. See this screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/UjpqfLr
However, in Firefox nothing is displayed. There is not even an option to enable Flash. When I look at the HTML source code in Firefox, I can see that Firefox completely removed the embed HTML-code.
- My questions are:**
- Why is Firefox removing the content? - How can I show the slideshows in Firefox?

Firefox crashes often because I have too many windows and tabs open - and I just restart it, no problem, restoring the tabs. This is not Firefox'es fault, I simply run out of RAM. But just now I selected the wrong option and Firefox restarted with a new homepage. 2 questions: 1. Is there any way to get the tabs and windows back now? 2. Some of the lost tabs are many months old - is there a way to get the History sidebar to go back, say, a year?

I'm having an issue whereby none of the UI popups in Firefox will stay on the screen for more than a few milliseconds. Any popup - a menubar menu, right click menu, autocomplete suggestion in the URL bar, the "would you like to remember this password" popup after logging in - they all flash on the screen then disappear immediately.
If you hold the ESC key down on your keyboard and click around the UI with the key held down, then it will give you a similar experience to what I am seeing.
When I load Firefox it works fine for a few hours then randomly gets into this state. When it happens, every other program on the system is fine, it is only Firefox that cannot keep any popup windows visible. It affects all Firefox windows the same. The menus won't open even if I use Alt+F for example to open them.
I tried loading a second instance of Firefox with --safe-mode --ProfileManager --new-instance and after accepting the warning about being in safe mode, the browser came up with the same problem. So even in safe mode the menus won't open.
I've used the "xev" command to confirm that there are no keys being held down on the keyboard, and exiting Firefox and reopening it solves the problem for another few hours, but it's a pain having to restart the browser all the time. I do a lot of web dev work in private windows to maintain multiple sessions to websites, and restarting Firefox loses all those windows and sessions which is a real pain.
Weirdly after restarting Firefox just now and having the problem go away, I then tried running safe mode again as before in a second instance, and that time the safe mode window could not show any menus but the normal instance was working correctly. I pressed Ctrl+Shift+A to go to the add-on window (since there is no other way to get there if the menus won't open) and confirmed that all addons were temporarily disabled, so the browser was definitely running in safe mode when it was unable to keep any popup UI elements visible for more than a fraction of a second.
I've had this issue on and off since Firefox 3, now running FF 63 but I've never been able to figure out what's going on. It has only ever happened to Firefox and not any other program on the system. It's also happened on four different computers, although they were all running Arch Linux. It doesn't appear to be a graphics problem as one of these systems has an nVidia Quadro with the closed-source driver, and the others are using Intel integrated graphics with the open-source driver. I'm not running a compositing window manager either. It *seems* like moving/resizing the window could be what triggers it but I'm not certain.
Does anyone have any ideas what could cause this or how to narrow it down any further? I thought Firefox used GTK for managing windows, has that changed? None of my other GTK apps have any issues like this.

reCaptcha is not working for me on any site.
I either get stuck in endless clicking on picutre loops or it gives an error that "Cannot contact reCAPTCHA. Check your connection and try again."
I'm running the Firefox 63.0.1 (64-bit) with 3 addons. Adblock Plus, Image block (yes it's disabled for the site) and Simple tab groups.
I've tried disabling all the addons except simple tab groups. With 7 groups and about 200 tabs, that's not an option right now.
If keep trying it may eventually work, sometimes it takes 10 min or so of trying, more often I give up and move to chrome for the site I'm tryign to access.

After some time using the browser, my laptop inevitably has a black screen of death (KSOD) issue where the device screen will not wake from display sleep (before the device enters sleep or hibernation) and the device must be shut off by holding the power button as the track pad or special key combinations do not work to wake the screen...
I have tried disabling hardware acceleration and uninstalling/reinstalling the Intel graphics driver (which is not testable for long since Windows Update re-installs it almost immediately, though I could try disabling wuauserv in the services manager...)
I also reinstalled Firefox and refreshed my profile, and tried running the browser in with the add-ons disabled...
Thank you for your time and consideration

Hi. I rebooted the computer, and the Firefox suddenly stopped (1) save and show history (2) save bookmarks icons (3) google autocomplete (4) save new bookmarks. So the address field does not complete anything at all. The history window is always empty, and does not show even the currently opened tabs. Tried to reopen the Firefox, or open in safe mode - does not help. Thank you.
