It's not scrolling the page or highlighting the word that it tells me is there. I lose FIND occasionally, but it no less annoying than when I am trying to get answers.

It wasn't working in Firefox 44.02, which I just updated to 45.0. Tried it in Safe Mode and it isn't working there either.

I am in the middle of trying to buy a new phone - it'll have to wait!

Doesn't matter if I restart/refresh from green button or file exit, Firefox crashes on restarting and numerous crash reports have been sent. Also, some tabs return as New Tab which they were not on closure. I am using Toshiba Windows 7 Laptop.

For the 9th time, I have upgraded to windows 10 and the flash plugin crashes on every page! I have updated every thing I can thing of..installed CCleaner and ran that..unchecked my accelerator..unchecked protected mode..cleared cache on everything..cleaned my register..uninstalled and reinstalled flash and anything else I could think of, per suggestions on the forum and nothing has worked! I have, however, noticed that Internet Explorer works fine, but I prefer Firefox. (picky, huh?) I am not currently running Windows 10 at this time.

Firefox freezes 60 seconds up to 90 seconds when open first time facebook.com, inbox.lv? Looks like CPU overloaded, all pc hangs up. Doesn't freezes on other browsers.

I'm watching all outgoing connections from from Mac using "Little Snitch" and I don't understand why Firefox is attempting to connect to www02.coconet.com on port 8080 every time it is started up. Denying the connection doesn't appear to break anything, but why is it being made at all. Coconet.com appears to be an ISP nowhere near where I am, but what's going on?

For the last 2 weeks google has decided to go very basic and the layout has changed (see attached screenshot if it ever loads). A lot of the search categories like Shopping, video, maps etc. have disappeared leaving only web and images. Images only gives about 30 results and they're not very accurate. Web search is hit and miss too with some very strange suggestions at times. I don't think I've done anything to the setting at least not intentionally and it's working fine in Chrome. I've tried restoring it and all the usual tricks but nothing has worked and I don't want to go back to Chrome crashing twice a day. I'm using win10

Firefox started crashing this afternoon whenever I try to watch a video on youtube. As soon as the video starts to load, firefox crashes. This just started today. I was able to watch youtube videos earlier today. I just tried to watch a video on netflix and it too cause firefox to crash. Here are the crash reports so far:

Had Firefox 38 or alike and no auto update, updated manually to Firefox.44 and now .45 and on Youtube the sites video player (unzoomed) is much smaller than before and smaller compared to other browsers (look like Chrome when you have just downloaded something that shows a bar in the lower part of the screen which makes the player smaller so you can see everything, except the problem is all the time).

It's like the player have shrunk all together because there is a lot of extra space on the sides that should be filled.

Have added pictures that show the problem in Firefox and how it used to look like and how it is in Chrome.

Hope there is some solution to this, thank you for your time.

Version 45.0 was installed this morning and almost immediately FireFox crashed. It has been crashing at regular intervals ever since. Even when idle just showing the Google home page and sometimes within minutes of starting. It was working fine before the update so can only presume the problem is in the new version. Seriously impacting on my work.

I am working on an iMac computer and have tried resetting all browsers, clearing cookies and cache. I cannot access the site from my IPad or IPhone either. I was able to access the site on my computer about a year ago and now it is impossible. I cannot open any page with similar ending. The webpage help desk will not respond to my requests for help. Has anyone else had this problem? How do I fix it?

I keep several tabs open at all times, and frequently need to refresh a page when I return to an already open tab. Until 45.0, the button worked. Now it doesn't. The circular arrow no longer turns into an X as the page reloads. I have to click on the url and press return to reload the page - which DOES cause the circular arrow to turn into the X.

Windows 10 64-bit.

I tried to access https://web.orange.co.uk [Edited to https on 12th March] and was told on 10th March that the certificate was not good as it was self generated. I tried to explore how safe it was to ignore this and ever since, when I try to access the site in Firefox (latest version) it redirects me to http://ee.co.uk/. I have tried to login through Chrome and have been successful. How do I access/reset the setting/information about web.orange.co.uk? Thanks in advance John

When FF upgraded to v. 45 I no longer get the I/D and password for a site I use a lot. FF used to save both, and I'd like to enable it for this site. All other sites get saved, but not this one.

It's happened again!

Every 2 or 3 months I cannot use Reply, Reply All, Forward or New in hotmail/outlook in FireFox. Usually it starts working again after 5 to 10 days. BUT WHY? Sweep works; Move to works, in fact all the others work. All works in ie 11.

Symptom: press button, changes colour tone slightly, little white balls slide across screen above outlook bar, nothing happens.

So, what is different about the first two, New & Reply? Surely some smart programmer can work out what is different, and therefore what the common denominator is about New & Reply. Is it clear that New & Reply invoke/create an email; the others don't. Yes ! I have done ALL the recommended fixes, cleared cache, refreshed FireFox, restarted. No, I haven't tried Safe mode because that's not a fix; fixing it mean it working correctly in full-on full-fate all-on mode. The fact that this happens every 2 or 3 months means that something is TEMPORARILY incompatible.

Was working 2 days ago. Yesterday, fault started, I had multiple updates; Windows/MS, adobe Air, adobe reader, flash player, apple software update (NOT iTunes, I don't use iTunes). ANY of these used in hotmail's/outlook's functions?

So, Mozilla coders', try and work out what's going on...... and fix it permanently. Clue: A SCRIPT's NOT WORKING, and I'm not going to fix it because I don't know how to.

FireFox 45.0 Windows 7 64 bit, all up-to-date quad core 3.4GHz 16 Gb DDR2 RAM SSD & HDD Norton Security with Backup

I read somewhere that the recent update from Firefox 45.0 to 45.0.1 was, in part, to fix an issue where some videos do not load in Firefox if third party cookies were blocked.

In my case, all videos loaded fine UNTIL I installed the update that Firefox said it needed, which was to update Firefox 45.0 to 45.0.1. After the update, some video files will not load at all. The video page and player will load, and the loading animation will start, but the video never loads. On sites that have an indicator as to what percentage of the file is loaded, it will go up to 99%, but will never finish loading, if it is really loading at all.

All my plugins related to video files are up to date. I am running Windows 7 SP1 64-bit operating system, have plenty of RAM. I began having the problem when I updated Firefox from v. 45.0 (32-bit version) to v. 45.0.1. Before the update, everything was working fine.

I tried playing the same videos in Internet Explorer 11, and they load and play just fine. Therefore, it is a Firefox issue, and a Firefox 45.0.1 issue specifically.

Am I just stuck with this albatross, or is there somewhere I can download Firefox 45.0 and go back to that version of Firefox?

In one of the recent updates, the URL Address line suddenly suggests in grey color and as first option "Visit" - and then a recently visited site. I find that EXTREMELY irritating. Any way to get rid of that nuisance?

Trying to find a way to move the browser cache dir in FF 45.01 - currently disabled to reduce wear on my SSD. I want to move the dir to a ramdrive, however the browser.cache.disk.parent_directory line in about:config is no longer there.

How can I move the cache dir to a new location?

Last couple of days the browser pages move on their own accord! Annoying to say the least. Done a search and done checks as suggested by forums but this still happens. Could the issue be with a new version of Firefox in the background waiting for the install? Hate updating as that itself causes me loads of aggro with saved bookmarks and settings. FF seem to overlook us 50+ guys who just want things to stay the same such as homepage as search engine not tiles and new page overides!

I typically only have one (Pinned) tab open in Firefox when I shut it down. This is one of my e-mail accounts. I often have a few tabs open, but never need them in my next session, so I shut them down.

I have Firefox configured to reopen previous tabs.

EVERY time I reopen Firefox, I get my pinned tab, along with the default Firefox startup page.

I've searched, but have not found a solution. The closest was 2 years old, and basically said, it's not possible to prevent the additional tab.

I find it difficult to believe that it is not possible after all this time, to eliminate this annoyance. Typicaly, the first thing I have to do is close this extra tab. Please let me know how to prevent this.
