Can’t access google or anything else after update

I got a message to update Firefox so I did. Now I cannot access any website and I can’t bypass the certificate on sites like google. Can’t test other browsers either, as Safari is still installing. I use a Mac. I have restarted Firefox and that did not help. Any suggestions? Please and thank you.
