message from google says I may be generating automatic queries from an attachment to a download & it is not allowing me to visit some sites as a result. I have AVG anti-virus. What now?

I have tried to click to access several sites and was not able to open the connection. Received message from Google that I may have unknowingly picked up an attachment to a download that is automatically generating queries and that is not acceptable to google. I have noticed a decrease in speed in changing screens, even though I have a new computer. I also just received a notice from Time Warner saying my roadrunner speed has been upgraded but see no difference. Is this something you can detect? I have AVG antivirus which constantly updates. As far as the Roadrunner upgrade, you may need to re-boot your cable modem to take advantage of that upgrade. At least, that's how it works with my Comcast cable internet service when they do a "speed upgrade".

As far as that message from Google, can you take a screenshot of that message and post it here?

I don't understand that message, and I wonder if when you paraphrased that message something is out of context?

Hi Ed-meister. Thanks about roadrunner-that makes sense. But, I am assuming the drag is due to this "automated queries" thing, since I've been noticing the slowdown for some time. I am addicted to ancestry.com and assumed too many people were on it, slowing me down. I did download a feature while on ancestry that I didn't quite like or trust and deleted it, but think that may be where I picked it up. I've heard that when you link to a download, it happens without you noticing. Google is apparently trying to prevent it, and has not let me go to several links lately, including the one you gave me to paste the message. Just as well, it may attach to you also-hope I haven't already. anyway-is this considered spyware or what. Google gave me some recent downloads to check, but now I can't get back to the message to see them. Thanks for your help. wagers
