Thunderbird was starting to slow and throw "not responding" messages so I followed all the usual repair/rebuild index proceedures. I only have four email accounts and they reindex fine. However my LOCAL folders take forever to reindex and Thunderbird crashes long before it's finished. There are 102164 messages in my LOCAL folders. At the same time, it's "Synchronizing" one of my email accounts which is huge. It constantly shows (in activity manager) "Bringing Folder Up to Date" and if very slowly counts off each message Downloading X of 44472 in inbox. When I say slowly, it's maybe a couple an hour !! or it just crashes before making any progress. I'm not sure which of the above actions is causing the "Not Responding" issue, but I'm basically dead in the water. I have been sending the bug reports when it crashes. Please Help !!!!!
