From a .txt file exported from Outlook, how can I map all the fields to TB address book (and not only 14 of them) ?

I tried to import my Outlook address book into TB 24 but some fields were wrong (old values instead of present ones !). I've then tried another way, exporting my address book to a .txt (or .csv) file and importing it into TB. The problem now is that only 13 fields can be mapped to the 13 TB fields ; and still TB address book fields are far more than this. Is there another solution to map all the fields (and not lose these, having to recreate them after import) ? Thank you in advance.

This link will tell you all the fields used in Standard Thunderbird.

Suggest you open the .csv file using eg: Excel and change the column headers so they match the ones used in Thunderbird.

This addon offers more fields etc in Thunderbird:

Quite interesting these links. Unfortunately I tried to map the corresponding fields I get in the Outlook addr book, exported to a .csv file, but I've not succeeded yet at this mapping. It looks like the present TB addr book fields are now different from those listed in the link. I don't want to give up but the task is quite long and exhausting. And I have tried again with a direct import into TB as it is proposed in the version 24 I have installed. Who can help me ?

Use LDIF not CSV.

I used CSV formatted files on Dos 2. If that is the best Microsoft can offer I would be surprised but not shocked
