Since I installed firefox the fragmention levels in windows goes from 0% to 3% very quickly. do you think firefox has something to do with the fragmention or is it having a few things installed? could it be the cache file size?

There are lots of things can can impact Windows fragmentation, even just restarting Windows can cause it to go up and down because of deleting temporary files. But, i doubt Firefox alone could cause that.
