“Can’t find the server” and lots of data to clear

Hi O professionals! Caution: this may be an Apple issue. I will insert a site address and will repeatedly get back a response that the server can’t be contacted. Now, this happens constantly on Safari and drives me nuts. (The picture below is what I get on Safari, but I’ll also get a similar message on here with we can’t find the server, but I have much better luck than with Safari.) Anyone have any idea why this is? I’m running the latest iOS and FF for iOS for iPhone (8S). I’m starting to hate this phone. I’ve restarted it in every way; constantly clearing caches and cookies, even reset to factory settings. (With both Safari and FF) Nothing!

Also, FF used to block almost all following, cookies and nastiness. I have mine on strict cookies and no third parties. Now I have a ton of stuff in my data like I do on Safari. (FF on my laptop, btw, is heavenly...)

Do I need a plug in? Thank so much for any ideas you may have. - Sue
