This is in Thunderbird. I have a number of news feeds and they occasionally get stopped or paused. It's annoying. Is there a way to disable this paused account feature in Thunderbird? If I want an account paused, it should be my choice not Thunderbird's.

Thank you for the replies. I found the solution here that i was looking for. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1354965

The procedure: In Thunderbird click on the hamburger menu or three stacked lines in the top right-hand corner. Then click on Preferences. Then in the search bar type config. Then when it displays click on the Config Editor button. You'll get a warning: Changing these preferences can impact Thunderbird performance or security. In the search bar, copy and paste or type the following:

rss.disable_feeds_on_update_failure

By default it is set as true. Clicking on the symbol at the end switches it to false. No restart required.

Hi terryhollett, The Thunderbird Support forum is over here -

I was able to find this thread -

(not certain if it is still useful)
