Having just updated to 57.0.1 (32-bit) I can no longer open tabs with my mousewheel. I'm running Windows 7 Enterprise - Service Pack 1. Many thanks

Hi Greg, where were you clicking before that no longer has any effect?

If it was the title bar, I think that has changed from previous versions. You can click or middle-click on the "+" button to open a new tab.

Hey Jefferson, Thanks for your message. Its on any link in a web page.

I also get a problem when I open a second new blank tab (or third or fourth etc) - it just doesn't do anything. I just end up with a blank page. The address bar provides suggestions as I type - but then does nothing. It leaves the page I've chosen in the address bar.

Tried to send a screenshot - but this also doesn't work either. The Browse to add images just does nothing.

If you haven't already, could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? In Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

Any improvement?
