The "new" Firefox is nothing but confusing and I hate it. Please tell me how to undo the so-called update so I can use the Firefox I understand.

Going back : unfortunately 56.0.2 is no longer safe to use for every day use, but 52.5.0 ESR is! It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/

Or we could work on the issues that your troubled with.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

1. Have to do at least 2 actions to see ALL of my bookmarks 2. Sidebar that comes up when I bring bookmarks up is confusing and unneeded. How do I get rid of it? 3. Did not have to double click on a bookmark before. Now I have to. 4. Home icon belongs with icons on right, like it has been. 5. When I double click a bookmark something about the bookmark comes up on the bottom of the bookmark list. Totally unneeded. How to turn it off? 6. I NEVER save History. How do I set this confusing mess to do that? 7. There is no "Help" icon on the main screen. There is too much maneuvering needed to find help. I happen to like GOOGLE. How do I use it as my search engine? Google is the ONLY search engine I have used that gives me ALL the choices I'm looking for.

1. You can bring back the Bookmarks button via the Customization palette (hamburger menu --> Customize) 2. Ctrl + B will show / hide the bookmarks toolbar 3. See 1 4. You can drag the home button to the other side if you please via Customize. 5. Screenshot of this? Never seen this. 6. Go to hamburger menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security --> Firefox will "Never remember history"

7. Hamburger menu --> (?) Help button, simple. 8. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-your-default-search-settings-firefox

What is a "hamburger menu"?

The 3 bar menu at the very right of the Firefox toolbar, I call it hamburger menu, others call it 3-bar menu or other variations.

How about the fact that it's ugly as sin and hard on the eyes? Even after I spent half an hour restoring the toolbar to the way I had it, the ugly tabs, ugly spacing, and ugly font colors in all included themes are like using Windows 3.1 with a blurry screen.

It's hideous. I'm going to try that other version of Firefox you linked, see if it works, and then if not... Chrome it is. This new UI is disgusting.

Re: 1. I can get the "hamburger menu" and click on Customize. Customize screen comes up, but nothing works, I can click & double click on the icons all night and will get no results. 2. Ctrl+B Does nothing. 3. See 1. 4. Worked. 5. There are 3 boxes/lines at the bottom of the Bookmarks list: Name, Location, Tags. I have absolutely no need for this. How do I get rid of it? 6. Worked Also, when I click on the III\ icon, I get a box with a list: Bookmarks, View Pocket List(?), History, Synced Tabs, Screenshots. When I click on Bookmarks, it shows some bookmarks with nothing else until I click on Show All Bookmarks. Then I get a window labelled "Library". At the bottom of this window are the 3 lines--Name, Location, Tags. On the upper left of the Library window is a list--History, Downloads, All Bookmarks, etc. All I want to show are all my bookmarks. Everything else is garbage.

Working on listed issues. If they don't get resolved, I will download 52.5.0. Why is 56.0.2 not safe to use? I agree--ugly, square tabs, too much garbage, too many things to try to figure out. I'm not some sort of super smart IT/computer geek. I just want things to work the way they're supposed to--easy for people like me to figure out.
