Hi,

I did not install any new extension or new adds-on. When I wanted to use Google translation I noticed that it has been hijacked. I tried to use the solutions which is mentioned in Internet like removing nuj, but I did not find it in my computer or any adds on or extension in the browser. Even after removing firefox and re-installing I have the same problem. As I have a programming background, I checked the code and I noticed it is somehow a javascript function that hijack the URL in firefox.

How is that attached? For example, if I paste the link here, is an onclick attribute added when you open the thread in Firefox?

Does it affect other browsers?

You don't have any extensions, or you don't have any that seem suspicious? You could share a list with us to get a second opinion. In order to include certain hidden extensions, I suggest doing that this way:

Open the Troubleshooting Information page using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
  • (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
  • type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter/Return

Then scroll down to Extensions and just below that heading, select the table with your mouse and copy it (either Ctrl+c or right-click > Copy), then paste it into a reply (either Ctrl+v or right-click > Paste). It will look a bit messy, but we're used to it. Thanks.
