Some of my messages in my inbox folders have disappeared - I understand they will be in my profile -how do I retrieve them?
Hi, I have recently compacted my folders and I now notice that some messages that I received in the last few months of 2015 have disappeared from their folders - I understand these should be in my profile but I would be grateful if you could explain how I can retrieve them. I have found my imap profile but cannot see how I can read the messages. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi christ1 Thanks for this - I have been through the pages you sent and still cannot retrieve the messages into the folders. I have the import/export app but cannot make this work. I am not very savy when it comes to this -is it possible to know exactly how I can retrieve the messages from my profile. I have tried turning T/B off abd starting again but this does not help - have also tried the other suggestions on the page. I have checked my anti-virus and have no email protection from that. Not sure where to go from here. I have been using thunderbird for years but in last 6 months or so it seems I have problems. Thanks Tim
