Everytime I start T'bird, I have to type in my password on each address I use. How can I stop having to do this?
I can't seem to store my password. Each time I open Thunderbird, I must type in my password on each email address and when sending email. Aside from that, I'm getting hundreds of spam emails each day.

TB may have a stored password which is incorrect. Go to Preferences -> Security -> Passwords -> Saved Passwords... and remove the entries for the account. Restart TB. It should ask you for your new password. Tell it to remember it.

There should be a check box to remember your password on the screen where you enter it.
As for spam, you can set up filters to help with spam and junk. It's an ongoing problem for all of us, but you can minimize it by being more judicious in giving out your email address.
duggabe, thank you for your suggestion. However, I have done this many times (checked remember my pw) but it doesn't help. As for spam, I didn't give out my email per se, my account with Host Monster was accessed and from that day forward I received over 200 spam emails per day. They provided a Spam Panel Report which has proved useless to my problem. I appreciate the reply.

I wasn't able to find Preferences but I did access passwords via the Options folder. After a few adjustments, it seems my problem is solved. You pointed me in the right direction and greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
Sometimes I forget that some of the menus have different labels depending on the operating system (I use Ubuntu Linux).
glad I helped.
