Open excel within compressed file

My site allows user to download compressed file. User can click to open zipped excel in IE but not in firefox.

Please, let me know how to write the code to make firefox work the same as IE.

Try posting at the Web Development / Standards Evangelism forum at MozillaZine. The helpers over there are more knowledgeable about web page development issues with Firefox.

You can't open Excel files in Firefox. IE can do that as being a MS programs and knows how to open the Excel program. Firefox won't open ZIP archives as well. If it would be an uncompressed file or a file that the server sends with gzip compression then it would be possible to use the open Office program with the plugin for Firefox.
