There are several addons that address message issues, which you will see with a search for 'message', and there is also a web page that lists many of them: https://cleidigh.github.io/ThunderKdB/xall/extension-list-tbmx.html

I finally found it. Just didn't know exactly what to refer to the toolbar as.
