After latest Firefox update, browser won't restore previous session after crash/quit. It restores old pages, not most recent. And no "oops! embarrassing" page.
Took my MacBook Pro to be serviced and they updated my software, including, apparently Firefox. I have FireFox 50.0.2 on Mac OSX 10.9.5. Now I no longer get the "Oops! This is embarrassing" page after a crash or restart, and when I click "restore previous session," Firefox reopens old pages, some of which I don't need anymore, and doesn't open most of my most recent pages. I think I've clicked all the right settings, including "remember my history." Anyone know what to do? Thanks!

You may have corrupt sessionstore file(s). Delete all sessionstore* files and the sessionstore-backups folder.
Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.
Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.
Locate the above file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.

Thank you, Fred. I will try this.
Fred, I'm no expert so please excuse my very basic questions here.
Do I just out-and-out delete any and all sessionstore* files, then close FireFox? And what file are you saying I should rename?
Thanks again.
Fred,
Thank you! You're a genius! I figured out my followup questions, did as you said and it worked! Many thanks.
Glad to help. Safe Surfing.
