I was using AVG. I downloaded Firefox 4 and got the message that it's not compatible. Is there another free virus program that works well? Thanks!

The AVG anti-virus application is probably working, its probably an AVG extension for Firefox that isn't compatible with Firefox 4.0.

I have been using the free for personal use Avast!AntiVir since I dumped AVG a few years ago.

I have been using ( and paying for), AVG internet security for years and it is not compatible with version 4.

In that case, check with AVG for an updated version that is compatible with Firefox 4.

After I installed Microsoft Security Essentials my computer freed right up and doubled its speed and I was able to get rid of all my other anti virus programs.
