Has there been a change to the way the 'context' menus work when just using a keyboard?

I can't get an item to execute just by pressing its key letter.

For example; I used to be able to open a bookmarked item with the following key sequence: [Alt] + [b] (navigate to item with 'arrow' keys) [Menu] [w]

But this doesn't work any more (it just closes the 'menu' bar - as though I'd pressed [Alt] again).

It will work if I navigate to the desired item ('Open in a Ne_w_ Tab', in this example) with the 'arrow' keys and press [Return].

Incidentally, the [n] ('Open in a _N_ew Window') exhibits the same behaviour.

In case you're wondering, the [Menu] key is that one on the right-hand side of a Windows keyboard, between the [Windows] and [Ctrl] keys.

UPDATE: This appears to be an intermittent problem. It looked like a 'hard' error, but after I restarted Firefox it went away ('good' for me, but 'bad' for anyone trying to squish this bug).
