when installing my backup profile like 3ukcaubp.default-release and opening TB 78.11 first time there is no problem but doing that one more time (closing/opening) TB will crash - It's a TB script related crash trying to open the profile again. Returned to TB 78.5.0 and all is well again.. no more problems.

edit: fixed!

Australia still is an English country, no?! No need to elaborate...

Hi Stef,

I had the same problem the last two days. The solution that worked was uninstall 78.11 and reinstall TB V78.10.2, move/copy the profile into 78.10.2 as described.

After 2 more restarts it still worked including now the faster cached startup. Then we got bold again and did the update 78.10.2 to 78.11 ==> still working.

The error is really annoying because it occurs during the GUI buildup because the menu come totally garbaged with missing items/submenus and even the help window comes up with a red "<.....>" link in it only. So something major must be going wrong.

Note, the profile that was moved was from 78.11 32bit, at first we thought it was x86 vs. x64 but it seems to be serious regression in TB 78.11. I don't understand why going back to 78.10.2 and then up to 78.11 would make a difference. My guess is that, because it works the first time, it must involve the caching for fast start because the "spin wheel" also turns during the second startup that goes wrong, just like the first time when you TB 78.11 sees the new copied profile.

Fixed itself?

Or if you did something, what did you change?

NOPE, the problem lies when restoring an older profile backup into a new blank TB installation, meh, it fails! - when upgrading an older TB installation all data is fine. Hence the developer should find a way to restore a profile backup into a clean TB installation.

Are any of these installs in a non English version that might be using language packs?

I am in Australia hence all English

I sort a can not help myself but laugh as that response. Being an Aussie myself I must point out Melbourne with the largest Greek community outside of Athens. I had a friend lived and worked in that community for 10 years before he spoke a word of English, he never needed to learn English in that time.

However, my comments were mostly aimed at ralph.paul with his description of a red rectangle something similar to the following I am assuming.

As for the issue being fixed. It is still not clear to me if you actually did something or after some restarts the migrated profile just started working. You mention a script crash. I am guess that is some sort of timeout, if so knowing which script the message describes would be most helpful.

Well, insulting me not being a born Aussie (dumbfuck) myself - my advice to you ... get stuffed!

Where did that come from. I genuinely have not idea. I have no idea where you were born, nor do I care. I just found a statement that of course it was English because you were in Australia funny. Probably due to the fact almost a third of us were born somewhere other than Australia and my past work in Cabramatta that had 98 community language at the time. But whatever floats your boat you want to get insulted go right ahead.
