I keep getting an error message "The add-on could not be downloaded due to a connection failure"
I have been trying for some time to install add-on for LastPass and TrueKey, both password management programs.
Each time I try I get the connection failure message and nothing gets installed. Is it a problem with Moz servers? I have found nothing in the public forums except a lot of frustration that this error is occurring after being reported so many times over such a long period.
If it cannot be resolved quickly, I will have to stop using Firefox, even though it is my preferred browser for general use. I need access to my password lists.

Where are you trying to download those from?
I am using the facility in each of the programs (LastPass, TrueKey). Each of these programs is downloaded from their official site and installed onto my computer. Each program provides a means of installing the add-ons for the browser I wish to use. When initiated, the browser opens and attempts to download the extension. A window then appears with the connection error. The extension is not installed. Because it happens with two separate programs, I am assuming the issue is with Firefox.
Have you tried getting these from Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link}
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).
Is the problem still there?
Thanks.
The Add-ons web page has a LastPass add-on that worked. There is nothing there for TrueKey.
When I tried in safe mode the result for TrueKey using the installer from the TrueKey program came up with the same error as before: connection problem.
So, I am still unable to use TrueKey in Firefox. I have also had this investigated by McAffee (TrueKey) help, but no joy there.
I guess that if we could get the add-on placed in the add-ons web page, it would work. From the searches I did, however, it seems this is an issue that is effecting quite a few people and has been around for some time.
