While typing in the Write window, if I pull down the emoticon menu and insert a smiley, I cannot type a space after it. It's as if the spacebar is dead. I can type alphanumeric characters with no problem. Only the spacebar seems to be effected. I've found workarounds, such as typing several spaces and then inserting the emoticon in the middle of them, or typing some letters plus a space and then backspacing over the letters, but what an aggravation that is. I'm running the latest Thunderbird 38.1, but that doesn't matter because the problem has existed in previous versions.
