why does pogo hearts game window load very slowly

I ave Vista and the latest versions of Firefox and Java. I had no problems with the previous Firefox version. It was 9.0 or something like that. In fact I would like to go back to that version . When I play Pogo hearts the game room loads but, the game window loads very, very slowly. I get booted out before the game starts.
