Job application form stuck and won't submit
I am really frustrated after having spent and hour on a job application using my MacBook on Firefox, I can't submit. It keeps going around in circles. I am afraid to refresh or empty cache because I will lose all my work! Any suggestions?

Make sure you are not blocking content.
Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

If I change settings it will cause me to lose my information
Sorry to hear about this problem. When you say it keeps going around in circles, could you describe what is happening in a little more detail? You click a submit button and then... what happens next?
I would personally use the Network Monitor or the Web Console to see if I can save some of the form data (e.g. via resend/edit; no need to actually do the resend) that is send to the server and check whether issues are reported with submitting the form. If it is currently stuck then it is not very likely that you will be able to submit the form successfully, so at least you can try to save the data send with this form.

Are you using content blocking extensions that could be causing issues ?

I hit a grey submit button and a blue circle goes around like it's trying to process something but can't do it.

I just noticed something that might be the issue. I had to attach certification files and it says "fake path" next to them. Could that be the issue?
"fake path" indicates that the site is not being made aware of the full location on disk, but Firefox does know the full location and the files should still attach.
It's unfortunate that there's no visible error message. Does it eventually show anything or it stops trying or do you have to stop it?
In the lower left corner, are there any status messages such as Reading/Waiting related to any particular servers or files?
Do you know whether the site has permission to open pop-up windows? You can grant permission using the Page Info dialog. While you are on a page on the site, either:
- Command+i (Windows/Linux: Ctrl+i)
- (menu bar) Tools > Page Info
- click the lock icon in the address bar, on the drop-down click the > button, then at the bottom click "More Information"
When the dialog comes up, click the Permission icon at the top to show that panel.
Scroll down to "Open Pop-up Windows" and uncheck the "Use default" box, and then select Allow to let the site set open pop-up windows.
I'm not sure there are any other permissions that might be relevant to this problem. Presumably cookies are already allowed.
