Firefox has suddenly stopped working.

I tried opening previous session with a number of Tabs but they wouldn't load.

I uninstalled Firefox several times (and downloaded latest version several times, obvs) and now I have no history or previous sessions but websites still won't load.

I've cleared the cache several times via Preferences but this doesn't work.

I'm using latest version of Firefox on a 2015 MacBook Pro running up to date latest OS.

Please help.

Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox? Look inside. Look for the folder with the latest creation date.
