So basically it has been 2 days since this happened, before update 88; main page of youtube doens't load correctly (only few thumbnails) and only after refreshing it for many times; other browsers load it fine; I did everything I could find and think of, including re-installing clean install, and even restoring windows to a week ago. any ideas or help are appreciated.

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Thanks for the reply, but I tried that, more than once.

Remove History For One Site {web link}

Open the History Manager <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> H. In the search bar, enter the name of the site. Right-click on one of the listings and select Forget About This Site. This should remove all information, including any site settings

You can check the connection settings.

  • Options/Preferences -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

See "Firefox connection settings":

You can do a malware scan just to be sure.

Really thanks for the help, but I also tried these, and honestly I give up at this point, I will just use another browser for youtube for now.

You can check the Web Console (Tools -> Web Developer) for messages about blocked content and about the presence of mixed or unsafe content.

You can check the Network Monitor to see if content is blocked or otherwise fails to load.

If necessary use "Ctrl+F5" or "Ctrl+Shift+R" (Mac: Command+Shift+R) to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.

Have your ISP check your service.
