I downloaded a virus that made my default browser some chinese one and it also pinned all of these tabs to my search bar. They are no where to be found in my browsing history. I have already ran a couple virus scans and removed a crypto mining program that had been installed on my pc. Now i just need help removing the pins.

Hey there! Sorry to hear about the virus. That's not fun at all.

You can easily remove these suggested sites from your address bar by following the instructions in this article: Remove websites from the address bar suggestions

The article explains how you can remove them individually, or all at once. I hope this helps!

Maybe you got a different locale when you updated to Firefox 82.

If the Firefox user interface (toolbars) is in the wrong language or if you want to change the current language then download Firefox in the language of your choice.

You can also try to clear the startup caches via the about:support page.

You can check for recently installed suspicious or unknown extensions.
