I installed Thunderbird and chose to setup a new email account. I do not want Thunderbird to sync emails from my old account. It will be entirely new and separate. I paid for a new email address using the Thunderbird wizard. When that failed to setup properly because it said it was waiting for payment, I paid for another using another payment source. But now I still have the same issue. The error window claims there is a config error but Thunderbird set it up! I don't understand if the Thunderbird Wizard sets it up why there is an error trying to log into my email account. I've made certain the username and password are correct. Now I have two Thunderbird email accounts when I only wanted one because the original error about payment was wrong. And I still cannot access either because of this same error. And when I click on the Thunderbird desktop icon, the window that pops up is the setup accounts wizard again. Not either of the email accounts we set up in the previous session.

Which password exactly are you using, the one for the new mailbox, or the one for your new Gandi account? If the purchase for your new private domain was successful, you should have received an email in the contact address that you supplied in the contact form when setting up your Gandi handle. You are supposed to log into your new Gandi account, using the password that you supplied, and make further configurations to your new domain and mailboxes. Most importantly, you need to set a password for your new mailbox, which should ideally be different from the one you use to log into your Gandi account. I'm unable to post links here, but I've sent you the links via private messaging (PM).
