Since Pinterest is such a common website, I'm surprised that FF Quantum does not work with it. When I use Pinterest as a tab and click on a "pin" it is supposed to go to that website, and open the pin. The address of the website shows up but the circle goes round and round and it doesn't open. I've tried several of these "fixes" on your support site but they don't work. I will need to go back to IE if I can't get it, since I do use Pinterest a lot. I've used FF for ages and up until now I've like it.

Hi, we've had three reports about links on Pinterest in the past 24 hours, but I haven't figured out what the problem is.

Does this describe your symptoms:

  • You click the link on pinterest to view the original source of the image
  • Firefox loads a new tab/window showing the address of the page but the content does not load
    • You might see a tiny image in the upper left corner of the page, but otherwise blank
  • If you click in the address bar and press Alt+Enter to load the same address in a new tab, it works there

Is it that?

In the blank page, could you:

  • Press Ctrl+a to "select all"
  • right-click > View Selection Source to show the HTML of the page

Does it look mostly blank or does it seem to have normal website content that just isn't showing? For example, you could use Ctrl+f to look for a relevant word (cake, flower, whatever the subject is supposed to be).

The first three of your bullets above are accurate, and occur when I try to 'visit' a pinterest entry (pin). That is all it will do. Pressing ctrl+a or reverse clicking (left hander) does absolutely nothing. The header shows that it is communicating with the other source but nothing ever shows. Another thing, the block in the upper left is simply a small block of semi-dark pixels, very small, clicking on it also does nothing. Should I use IE or Chrome?
