Question: If I copy "places.sqlite" while firefox is open, will I be able to use this to restore history?

I have read https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recovering-important-data-from-an-old-profile which instruct me to close firefox before copying files, but previously i have copied files while firefox was open. Now I wonder if I can use those files.

hi, while firefox is running there are also "helper" files to that database which store various changes during an open session (places.sqlite-shm, places.sqlite-wal). if you put a places.sqlite file that was copied while firefox is running into a new profile without those helper files, this can corrupt the database...
