Firefox has been behaving strangely since I made the update last night. Every time that I use the minimize or maximize buttons either the Personas area goes black, or the entire Firefox window goes black. I do not know what could be causing this, since this also occurs in Safe Mode and when I turn off the hardware acceleration.

Please let me know what I can do to fix this. Even though it doesn´t make Firefox completely unusable it is an annoyance that should be addressed.

Thanks. :)

Do you know whether you went from Firefox 36.0.4 to Firefox 37.0.1 or whether you had Firefox 37.0 in between (that was released on Tuesday but most users didn't install it)?

Firefox 37.0 had a problem with Windows themes associated with the program WindowBlinds, and Firefox 37.0.1 was designed to avoid that problem. However, there might be other system/theme-related glitches that were not noticed in testing. Are you using one of the built-in Windows 7 themes or a custom one?

Thanks for the reply. Sorry that I was so late answering.

That is interesting...As far as I know I went directly from 36.0.4 to 37.0.1 on Saturday evening. However I do have Windowblinds installed.

I have unloaded WindowBlinds and the problem went away. When I restarted the program, the anomalies returned. Fortunately and unfortunately, this is the source of the problem.

I am currently using WindowBlinds 7.2. I never upgraded it because I never had any problems with it until now. Would an upgrade to the program solve this issue?

Thanks for your help! :)

Hmm, I don't know what version was tested when the first bug -- Firefox crashing at startup -- was fixed.

I noticed StarDock has an April 2nd announcement about a beta version addressed to users with Firefox issues, referring to version 8.11b: http://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/News/NewsItem/View/2/windowblinds-811-beta-released

I'm not sure I would rush to install that if you can work around the issue in other ways for the next week or so.

Ok, I will contact Stardock and wait to see if Mozilla or Stardock have workarounds available before I make the decision to upgrade. Thank you so much for your help! :) I will post again when I have further information.
