can't see tab thumbnails nor get rid of "You've opened a new tab" page
i keep getting this(see pic) when i open a new tab, i resolved this issue before but i forgot how i did it the last time. i tried clicking the "Don't show this page again" all that did was crunch the words closer to getter. tried zooming out to no avail then i tried going into about:config and swapping the browser.newtab.url to about:newtab just to see that it was still set as about:newtab. how do i get rid that? not being able to see the thumbnails anymore is kind of annoying.

I have never soon that page. Looks like a malicious extension to me.
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
- Click the menu button

and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
- On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
- On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".

found it, had to reinstall the aqworlds battle bar, then toggle the settings in it. i must have accidentally messed with it when using adw cleaner or malware bytes to purge shoppilation.
