I shot a short video, tried both Youtube app and going to their website with Firefox, there isn't "upload" button there as it should be according to their support (https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/57407?hl=en).

What am I missing? Is there any other way to upload a video to youtube?

Hi StanG,

I am experiencing the same problem as you mention - I don't see an "Upload" button either on the Youtube App for Firefox OS or on the mobile site via Firefox OS and Firefox for Android.

It seems that Google removed this feature from the mobile site and forgot to update the help article.

However, I was able to find a workaround by forcing the Desktop version of Youtube. You can do this by typing the following link in the address bar of your Firefox OS browser:

You can tap on the "Upload" button on the top-right corner. It might be difficult since the button looks so tiny, but once you get it, you can enter your Google credentials and follow the steps to upload a video from your Video gallery.

Please keep in mind that this limitation, and the need for this workaround, is not due to Mozilla's Firefox OS system. Google is the developer of the Youtube app, and only they can add or remove the functionality for uploading videos.

I would suggest writing to them to request that this feature be added back - I will be doing the same. =)

Thanks!!

I've tried that myself but, as you said, the button is very small, and if you zoom in the top of the page somehow goes out of the view and cannot be scrolled all the way to the right.

Now I've tried hitting that button in actual size and it worked, thanks.

I don't have an Android device with me atm to check how mobile page works there.
