Hello,

On the Firefox home page, there are shortcuts. I have pinned some of these shortcuts. When I click on a shortcut, it opens in the current tab. I would like to have the shortcut I click, open in a new tab, without having to Ctrl+click Is this possible?

I have been testing all browsers I use (Firefox, Chrome, Edge) on Cloudflare Post-Quantum Key Agreement to verify PQC support. They all support the X25519MLKEM768 hybrid scheme (i.e. Cloudflare web page returns "You are using X25519MLKEM768 which is post-quantum secure").

The issue: When I run the test in Firefox multiple times by doing repeated hard refreshes (Ctrl+Shift+R), quite often the result is "You are using X25519 which is not post-quantum secure". Sometimes the very first run after opening Firefox gives the X25519 (failing) result. "Often" varies. Sometimes it's around 10 fails out of 50 tests, other times it's 1 out of 50. It seems random.

I have read that sometimes networking equipment or even ISPs can be the cause of PQC requests falling back to non-PQC due to the long keys in PQC, but I do not see this intermittent issue with Chrome or Edge on the same computer/network/ISP as Firefox. I have not seen a single failure so far on those two browsers. The only variable I am aware of is the web browser.

I also tried connecting to a cellular hotspot as well as disabling my Norton 360 firewall and the results are the same as above.

I'm wondering if I am experiencing intended behavior or if I've stumbled upon a bug. I am sometimes downloading files in a staggered manner (i.e., waiting for files to finish downloading before I start the next file downloads). However, any file after the first in that session shows an inaccurate progress indicator in the toolbar which includes progress of the already completed downloads.

For example, if I download two files completely, then start the download of two new files and both sit at 0%, the progress bar for the downloads actually shows 50% completed (2 files at 100%, 2 files at 0% -> Average of 4 files at 50%). I can't imagine this is intended behavior, for I imagine users would like to know how their current downloads are progressing only. This behavior is only fixed when I clear previous downloads, which resets the list to only active downloads, or when I restart the browser and start a new session.

Is there a setting where I can make the indicator report only active downloads?

Hello, I've been watching MSNOW at 4pm eastern and after about half an hour it crashes. I get a message to send a report and restore the tab. I restore the tab which works for maybe ten minutes and crashes again. I am using Windows 11 on a new computer. I'd appreciate some assistance. Thanks. Bruce Caress

This has happened randomly on several different computers, both windows and ubuntu linux. It just now happened on my Win 11 computer. Was viewing the CNN news site and FF suddenly closed, without a "FF crashed..." message.When I clicked the icon to reopen it, it came up with the home page group of tabs instead of reopening the windows and tabs that were opened when it crashed. Worse, none of the previous months of history shows up and recently closed tabs and windows are both greyed out.

Is there a way of recovering the history of what I was working on at the time of the crash and what the hell is causing this? I am close to dumping FF and going with something else as this is highly annoying.

When I search for something it shows up in English, but some text under the result is French as shown in the picture. I use latest Firefox with Google search engine, and I have all settings in Google set to English, And same for Firefox settings

Love Firefox by the way... So, autocomplete in the search bar is often helpful, don't get me wrong, but it redefines the delete/backspace key to be context-sensitive. Now, sometimes it does what I expect and backs up one, erasing the character I just typed. However when autocomplete ghost text is present, that same key removes the ghost text only, leaving the character I'm intending to remove. This is enormously inconvenient as I now must watch to see what autocomplete is doing and adjust my behavior to comply. Were I designing I would not make the delete key dual purpose context sensitive, instead I would do both at the same time! Delete what I just typed and remove the ghost text. Safari started this, I complained and of course got no response. Subsequently I noticed the same behavior in Firefox. My suggestion, request, is that search delete key behavior not be decided for me. Either make this Safari behavior a settings option, by default is OK, so that I can choose, or (my preference) delete both ghost and previous character with a single keystroke! It's very tricky the clone a FF profile, so I want to avoid that. (If there is a SIMPLE way to clone a FF profile, that would suffice. I have found no such animal.)

I would like to start Firefox by invoking different UserChrome.CSS files.

Is that possible?

I am not intereted in RUNNING both these simultaneously.

yes, I realize I could go through renaming and unrenaming files before starting FF to achieve this. But, I am I'm looking for a method using native FF resources.
