Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone can help me here. I use Google Fi to make and receive calls from my browser. I accidentally denied microphone permissions to Google Fi from the Firefox dropdown prompt and I cannot find how to get it back.

When I click the dropdown menu, I see no options to enable or disable permissions. I also do not see anything listed in the Security settings of the browser. When I check the google fi settings, I see it complaining about denied permissions though.

I've attached screenshots. Does anyone know where I can revoke the blocked permissions?

I lost my tabs. Firefox has been opened and closed several times after losing tabs. I went here https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/scrounger.html. I was able to find the file containing my lost tabs, it is sessionstore(1706800631216_9931f324-5558-4488-a36c-a5b3cb9e8c54_event_jsonlz4).json What do I do with this file now? Thank you.

My wife has a desktop and a laptop. She wants to move 2 or 3 folders only, not the whole thing, nor merge ALL the bookmarks. Lets say 2 of the bookmark folders are called "Eyes" and Birds. She wants to copy those 2 folders, with their links inside the folder from her desktop FIREFOX and want to add them to her laptop FIREFOX Bookmarks Toolbar. Add them, not replace any of the bookmarks on the laptop, not overwrite anything else. How do I copy a folder from one FIREFOX running computer and put it on a USB drive to then ADD to the Bookmarks Toolbar on her laptop? I can right click and choose COPY but then when I try to "paste" the "paste" is greyed out.

I don't know why but sync button is not appearing in my Firefox settings (image attached). I guess it's because something I've done in settings that has cause this to disappear. Can you help me? Thanks!!

Win 7 64 bit. 109.0.1 (64-bit) I have two admin user accounts. On number two when I bookmark a page it automatically puts a folder on the toolbar.

in number one it puts in the bookmark pull down [where you click Bookmarks from the menu bar] and I can create a folder on the toolbar if I want. I want.

I do not want all boomarks to be on the toolbar but want the toolbar shown as i want to be able to add a folder

Ever since Firefox updated today I've been unable to use the browser. It takes at least 5 minutes or more minutes to load, I can't manually log into any websites until the speeddial finally loads, and the speeddial addon refuses to come up for at least 5 minutes, I can't log into Dropbox even with the speeddial up and running because the capcha won't popup...and on and on.

What in the world has been done to it? I'm using another browser just to contact support.

I have never used a primary/master password. I updated to 109.0.1 on a computer that had not been used for a few weeks. I do NOT sync FF on any computer. "Use Primary Password" is NOW checked on this 2nd computer. (never used or needed before) In order to try to change this, I was required to enter my password. When I enter the password I use to access mozilla support (the only FF password I have ever had), nothing happens and I do not get any options, i.e., forgot password. I have never been requested to enter a password on any computer (to access FF; only to reach mozilla support.) On my primary computer, "Use Primary Password" is not checked, as it should not be. Thanks in advance.

When browsing in some websites such as "facebook.com", "mozilla.org", "lenovo.com", I sometimes get a popup to this link, but I don't have any kind of extension that could be causing that I think. What would be a way to troubleshoot this so that I can prevent that from happening? It's really annoying and the site also seems really sketchy.

I currently am running FF vers. 109.0.1 64 bit on Win 10 pro. I don't like what I've been reading about the latest update, my machines are old and I'm not ready to upgrade so I don't want an even more overloaded/uses up more CPU, etc., version of Firefox. I don't have complex needs in a browser, so some of the "upgrades" haven't been useful for me or have made using FF more difficult.

  I found a list of what I guess are older versions but no information was provided on how to choose a version of say v. 110, to make sure it's the right one for my laptop and/desktop (or the one that will work w/the fewest problems) that it's in English, etc.   
  My impression is that FF is mostly worked on by people who have a variety of needs & interests so increasing sophistication is what they want and that's fine, I'd like to keep using FF w/my current machines, w/as simple a version ,ie., useful for an unsophisticated user.    Is that possible?    If so, I'd like to upgrade to 110 64 bit or perhaps 111 64 bit unless either or both had huge security holes, etc and many users found they weren't very functional.   I do have security software.

Firefox saves files that I only wanted to open with another application.

I checked the previous solutions in the forum, but they did not work for me. (Windows 11) I changed in system> general > download , applications > the app to open that file type and it works, but besides this Firefox keeps saving the files in the default download folder.

I tried also about:config browser.download.improvements_to_download_panel to false. browser.download.start_downloads_in_tmp_dir change to true No change - still saving copies.

I have been trying to get a "media print" to format as I wish it to do so by using the widows and orphans CSS rules (among others). So far, regardless of the values assigned, the resulting print output still has widows and orphans.

Are those rules actually implemented in Firefox?

Hello! When I turn on firefox in my laptop it always opens in small window, so it is very annoying and it happens every time. I know that, when I reset firefox to fabric settings, problem will go away, but for a couple days only and again it will be. So do you have any idea, how to solve this problem once and for all? A friend (who knows even less about technology than me) has an old Dell Inspiron 1501 which has been running Linux Mint 18 Xfce, which is now unsupported. I'm beginning to regret it but just to keep it going for a couple of years I offered to update to Mint 20 Xfce, which is the last version listing 1 Gb as the minimum Ram (everything later or other version are 2 Gb or more), which is the most that system can use. Once the wifi was eventually working (old b43 broadcom driver) most things went fine (except Team Viewer, which works on another Mint 20 Xfce system, but that's not a question for here). However, she uses Yahoo mail, and for some reason just attempting to load the login page (login.yahoo.com) causes Firefox to crash (I mentioned Thunderbird in the title as I attempted to access Yahoo Mail with it, but because it needs to access the Yahoo Mail page (as I think this is now based on App codes rather than passwords), and doing that crashed Thunderbird also). I'm pretty sure I have methodically gone through all the troubleshooting steps on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems (clear cookies & cache by deleting history; clear startup cache; refresh; reinstall; new profile). Firefox doesn't crash in Troubleshoot mode, despite the fact is seems to still use hardware acceleration, even though I thought it would disable that. Hence, I'm at the end of what I know to try (and that's just from following the guide, I am not an expert) and would be grateful for any help anyone can offer. I attach an image that lists all the submitted crash reports, as they will refer to slightly different conditions as I tried all the options mentioned above. I'm using my own PC to submit this (so any hardware & system data submitted by this web-form won't be relevant), not the Inspiron 1501 that has the issue. I can open the Yahoo mail page on this machine (same version of Firefox) and also on the Inspiron 1501 using Chrome (but there was a different reason relating to security why we couldn't log in via that). Would really like to get Firefox (and Thunderbird) working on the laptop, if possible.

Via google search, I clicked on https://company.bk.com/pdfs/nutrition.pdf, where it said: Invalid SSL certificate Error code 526 Visit cloudflare.com for more information.

[FYI, I don't care, but I never heard of cloudflare.]

I then click on 'additonal troubleshooting information.' on this failure page where it says:

Error 526 occurs when these two conditions are true:

   Cloudflare cannot validate the SSL certificate at your origin web server, and
   Full SSL (Strict) SSL is set in the Overview tab of your Cloudflare SSL/TLS app.

Resolution

For a potential quick fix, set SSL to Full instead of Full (strict) in the Overview tab of your Cloudflare SSL/TLS app for the domain.

So I go to Settings>Privacy and Security. First, no Overview tab. But under enhanced tracking protection, I have Standard selected and with strict one of the options, I think I'm where I supposed to be NO!. So I search for SSL, and there are no hits.

Thus I am in a total failure state, unable to do what should have taken 1 minute to easily find out!

WHY CAN'T I JUST TURN THIS OFF FOR THIS ONE INSTANCE???? I mean, it's Burger King, and all I NEED NOW is nutritional info for what I just ate and there is no way on that results page to temporarily turn off the problem. Cloudflare? CloutFailure is more like it. They have taken my choice to choose!

This so frustrating, such a simple thing, why isn't there something to temp turn off?

Okay, I give up. So, Facebook is or has implemented this Turn on two-factor authentication or whatever it is. What this means for me at the moment is that I am unable to access my Facebook account as it is now forcing me to use this Two-factor authentication thingie, despite that I do not have a mobile phone. (yes, I know it's unusual in this day of age not to have one. I did have one at one time, but for the moment I have no interest in getting another one). I would rather use my laptop anyway.

Doesn't Firefox have a Two-factor Authentication thing that I can use with Facebook? Without a mobile phone using the Firefox browser on a computer or laptop?

Now, from what I can see, Facebook is offering 3 ways of doing this. #1) Authentication app, like Google Authenticator or Duo Mobile. #2) Text message (SMS). #3) Security Key. So, because I do not use or have a mobile phone, I was guessing that my option would only be #1 Authentication app, like Google Authenticator ... which I have never used before, and while reading up on it, I keep reading that I can only use it with the Google Chrome browser?!? If that wasn't bad enough, I typically use Microsoft Outlook, not Gmail. So, I am at a loss at this point.

Again, I do not have a mobile phone. Doesn't Firefox have a Two-factor Authentication thing that I can use with Facebook? Without a mobile phone using the Firefox browser on a computer or laptop?

When I open Firefox it's just a black page and anything I click on isn't responsive. I can't go into options or anything. Sometimes Firefox doesn't even load. It worked fine earlier than all of a sudden It stopped working today. Web pages don't load. Nothing works

I seen a post earlier that had a link to a supposed fix but I couldn't figure it out. So if anybody is able to help me it would be much appreciated. I am not an advanced user when it comes to Firefox

I know how to turn on OS authentication to reveal passwords in about:config (signon.management.page.os-auth.enabled = true) But is there any way to turn this on in registry?

I tried to Connect Dropbox to my desktop, but the page would not load.

Chrome has no problem loading the page.

Could someone please let me know if they have the same problem

WHERE IS MY BOOKMARKS TOOLBAR??? Every time I update Firefox (now 109), I end up with all kinds of problems! NOW, I can't see my bookmark toolbar. All the help articles tells me how to show it or how to bookmark a page, which I already did multiple times. But this issue is never solved. If I can't get this resolved, I'm going to MS Edge.
