Firefox 24.4.0 ESR slow on one PC with HTML5 application, not slow on another
I am running the same HTML5 application (not a web application - its being accessed directly off of box-level hardware) on two different PCs using Window's Server 2003 operating systems and Firefox v24.4.0 ESR. The application seems to run fine on one PC and about 50% slower on the other PC...even dropping out and resetting occasionally. The PCs do have different specs but i'm thinking the problem more or less lies between Firefox and the HTML5 GUI application i am using. The only thing I can think of is that Firefox is configured differently on one PC vs. the other...However, there are too many configurations settings to change as part of a trial and error troubleshooting approach so i'm hoping someone might be able to point me to a few key parameters I could play around with. I have tried running Firefox without add-ons and it still ran slow, so add-ons are not the problem. I have also tried activating pipelining and that didnt resolve the issue either.

Ya, there are a few: Open up about:config and search for an old one
media.windows-media-foundation.enabled. double-click it and change its value to true.

This was already enabled. And the other tips werent of use either. I have further determined that when I maximize the screen size it takes longer to load the graphics than when the screen size is much smaller (it actually runs really fast when the screen is very small). I guess I would attribute this to the graphics card being used on this PC...that being said,
Is there any way to use the Firefox configuration to decrease the graphics load of an HTML5 application?
It is possible to recommend disabling hardware acceleration, however I do not know how to reduce the graphics quality.
Firebug [getfirebug.com] may help inspect the performance of the web app while you develop.
