Tab Group manager usually functions fine. In the event of a crash, I usually get a Restore option. However, I installed Wunderlist (along with, unknown to me going into it) a toolbar and other background programs. As a result, TGM was disabled.

I uninstalled these programs and TGM works, but none of my (hundreds) of tabs were restored. I attempted a Windows Restore, but it didn't take.

How do I get my tabs back?

I do have the original sessionstore js file. However, if I copy it into the appropriate folder, replacing the newly created one, it just gets replaced with yet a newer one the next time I launch FF.

How do I get FF to utilized rather than overwrite the sessionstore file?

From another post, I found the solution:

Keeping your profile folder open, switch over and exit Firefox. Then delete sessionstore.js and rename sessionstore.bak to sessionstore.js. After restarting Firefox, you can restore the earlier session (using either History > Restore Previous Session, or the button on the built-in Firefox home page.

There are other things that need your attention.

Please update to the current Firefox 25 release.

  • Help > About Firefox

The Firefox 7 version that you currently run is no longer supported with security updates.

  • It is important to update Firefox and add-ons to the latest version to get all security fixes.
