I had this error once before, and I was able to google a solution, but it was a long time ago and I Forget the solution, and since then the seo on this issue has become poluted with useless information :(

I'm using firefox 17 but I don't think that matters.

The dialog that lets you choose a folder after you select Save Page As or press Ctrl+s? I think that is a standard Windows dialog and its size is not stored in localstore.rdf.

Try double-clicking the title bar. That works on many resizable dialogs in Windows.

Now, about your version... Version 17 is not secure; Mozilla discloses security flaws after each new release. Is something holding you back from upgrading to Firefox 23? Please let us know so we can suggest solutions or workarounds.

double clicking fixed it, and i just don't like upgrading too frequently, there aren't any major features I need in later browsers and I worry about losing my plugins and customizations

anyways wow double clicking worked even though resize tool didn't
