Home page - http://search.jzip.com/ overriding my choice. How to avoid ?
I dowloaded Jzip but now whenever opening Firefox my homepage is ... search.jzip.com. I change the home page to the site of my choice but Firefox ignores this and shows the serarch.jzip site.
I presume they have installed something that runs whenever I load Firefox, but what ???

Try to do the following:
1) Go to C:/Program Files/Windows jZip Toolbar
- In the folder there is an Uninstall file for the toolbar, Execute it
- Delete the folder
2) Go to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins
- Delete JzipWebSearch.xml and SearchResults.xml files
- If they are not there, Search for it in C:\ drive
- Delete the folders
3) Open Firefox and type in the address bar about:config
- When you see a warning, click I'll be careful, I promise
- Type jzip in the Filter bar
- "Reinitialize" (right-click and click Reset) all the values with jzip that are shown
4) Close Firefox and Restart => No more jzip startup page
Check and tell if its working.

Type about:config in the Location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key. When you see a warning, click I'll be careful, I promise! button.
- Preferences that have been modified are shown as bold (user set).
- Preferences can be Reset to the default or changed via the right-click context menu.
-> In the Filter bar, type jzip
- This will show all jzip related preferences.
- Reset all jzip related Preferences to their Default values (right-click a preference and click Reset)
-> Close the about:config tab and then Restart Firefox.
Check and tell if its working.

Thanks. That changes it for the current session but when restarting Firefox the config file again shows search.jzip
Are their any Registry entries that Firefox checks priuor to opening ?
