Some tabs in a window are not accessible

more options

There is one window which has 12 tabs. The 1st tab is visible but the other 11 are not. The tabs are there as when I click on the close button, it asks if I want to close all the tabs. I've looked in your help sections and done the restore tabs from Preference and from history both of which have not solved the problem.

The problem started yesterday when I logged into the wireless network at the Salt Lake City airport's network.

This could happen in full screen mode (F11) or if you have hidden the tab bar completely (that would be very unusual).

Tried hitting f11 button with only all the firefox windows going away.

How do I see if the tab bar got completely hidden?

The tab bar can be hidden by adding a style rule to a configuration file named userChrome.css. Presumably you would remember if you did that, and it would affect all windows, not just the one with the problem.

It also can be hidden by a add-on (e.g., Hide Tabbar, Autohide Tabbar), which could be triggered by a hot key. You probably would remember installing one of those, but you could check for one of them here:

Tools > Add-ons > Extensions

Otherwise, the tab bar should be displayed whenever there is more than one tab open.

Firefox 4 changed the way that "dialog" windows work. When you are viewing a page in a dialog window and try to open a link in a new tab, it opens in a different window. If that tab were forced to open in the same window, it might be hidden in some manner. Since this is a new/revised part of Firefox, it could be buggy. If you can describe the steps to re-create the problem, that would be helpful.
