I installed a PCI wireless card 6 months ago. It ran fine with Firefox & I never put any firewall exceptions in or listed Firefox as a trusted site. I was running Windows firewall & a free version of Avast! for viruses as well. Then it started switching me to Offline mode and closing my wi-fi connection when I wen to another page, clicked a link or opened another tab. the onlu way to get it running again was to revoot and start over, as clicking on my Wi-fi program to rescan & reconnect did nothing. I then tried putting in exceptions & trusted sites which helped for about a week & the same thing started again. I'd take them out and out them in again, it would start and I'd get Firefox up again, but now it is continual, every few minutes. The message is either I;m working offline (I never do) or "Can not find server". It's a pain in the neck. Will occasionally happen in IE8, but only when my connecyion is poor.
