Check your connection settings in Firefox:

  1. Click the menu button Fx89menuButton and select Settings.
  2. Select the General panel.
  3. Scroll down to Network Settings and click button Settings….
  4. Change your proxy settings:
    • If you don't connect to the Internet through a proxy (or don't know whether you connect through a proxy), select No Proxy.
  5. Click OK to close the Connection Settings window.
  6. Close the Settings page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.

The settings change to "no proxy" was ineffective. I also performed a firefox reset but the problem still persists.
